On its rural stall in the entrance area to Atria, Danke Bauer offers a wide selection of high-quality food products from farmers and producers in Carinthia, Slovenia and Friuli-Venezia Giulia. The product range includes not only the best bacon varieties, homemade sausages or bacon spread from Carinthia, the original Bled cream slices and gibanica from Slovenia, or our Montasio cheese from Friuli, but also traditional culinary delicacies from our region that were thought to have been almost forgotten. Can you still remember the "Polsterzipfel" biscuits or butter biscuits that Grandma used to bake, do you know what a paprika bacon sausage is and how it tastes, traditional lardo - a salted bacon made with herbs - or the smell of a genuine sourdough loaf baked in a stone oven? Danke Bauer is committed to precisely this tradition and these foods, and on its stall invites you to taste these and experience the eating culture of our region. One of the pearls of the Carinthian eating culture has to be our "Käsnudel", cheese-filled pasta which embodies decades of the culture and tradition of our region.
In order to offer the highest quality Carinthian pasta, Danke Bauer relies on handmade production in its own production plant just a few hundred metres away from Atrio. The taste sensation of genuine cheese-filled pasta can only be achieved by using fresh, high-quality ingredients obtained directly from the region. So Danke Bauer uses only freshly-cooked potatoes from Carinthia and refuses to use potato powder; the processed flour also comes from Carinthia. And unlike some industrial products, Danke Bauer pasta does not contain a single E number.
As well as its stall at ATRIO, Danke Bauer is also pleased to increasingly be able to offer tradition and eating culture from our region via its webshop at www.dankebauer.com from Carinthia to the whole of Europe.
