ATRIO has won numerous international awards in the recent years.
Among others, awards for sustainable planning and design, as well as energy- and emission-saving resource management. Approximately 500 tons of CO2 is conserved per year due to the 652 energy piles.
The efficient and environmentally friendly management of geothermal energy is carried out throughout the year: during the winter geothermal energy is used for heating via heat pump, during the summer for cooling the building via refrigerating machines. Energy piles provide several advantages, such as reduction of building costs, independence from fossil fuels and high cost effectiveness.
The highest standards of architecture also demand high standards regarding indoor climate.
